Poly V belt broke!!!

Took the old tensioner off today. Here's a pic with the broken off pulley along side it.

Does this breakage suggest anything? (Other than needing a new tensioner and belt of course).





The belt didn't snap in two. It looks as though it's torn along the length of the belt if you see what I mean?

Torn along the length of the belt suggests a pulley that locked up somewhere- while the engine crank driving pulley tore it apart

Quick update:
Replaced the tensioner and a belt this morning and all seems ok now.

Hopefully no further problems!!
