Possible C32 & SLK32 AMG mini-meet (GTG)?

Personally, I have only seen 1 other SLK 32 driving around anywhere and also only 1 C32 last weekend in Gloucester.

Great to have you aboard.

Maybe you saw andy_cyp's C32 as he's in the same sort of area as yourself?

I too only ever seen one SLK32 before I bought mine, however I did see a C32 at my local Tesco (Sandhurst) the other day though. Nice to have you on-board Dan :)

Hi Rob.
Thanks for the welcome.
Andy's car is silver I believe and the one I saw in Glos was black.
He was showing a scooby driver who was boss at the time if I recall. :)

Later,
Dan.

Thanks for the invite rob.

Wowee this is going well. Looks like a good way to bring people out the electronic woodwork :D.

Gazz - Good to see you on here mate!!

Take up looks strong so far. If we can find a date and location that suits all we could break a record. Suggestions so far include:

Gaydon Heritage Centre

MBWorld

Anyone think of any other potential venues?

MBWorld would be a great setting, and has been suggested a couple of times - obviously it would mean a trek for the northern contingent, but may be worth the journey?

I've dropped them an email to see if we'd be welcome if we decided to use MBWorld as our venue, and whether we could get allocated parking, group rate on driving experience, etc. Will let you know what the response is. I'll perhaps do the same with Gaydon.

MBworld sounds good.
What are the driving experiences you speak of?

Find out more here, but there are three type of driving experience they offer:

Performance (AMGs)

Handling

Off-road (M-Class)

They're a bit pricey, but I've read good reports. Let's see what they come back with.

Also emailed Gaydon today.

Hi all,
MBWorld sounds good to me - I've been meaning to go along for a nose around - just very limited free time at the moment!

A few votes there for MBWorld. Still not heard back from them yet though. I must admit it would be my first choice too, although it's location may make it less popular the further North owners are from.

Gaydon have now responded, and they have provided a date that they could accomodate us - it's the weeked of the Historic Rally Car Register Open Day - Saturday 13 January 2007. They've offered a reserved parking area away from the main rally, and a meeting room - I'm just waiting to find out if there is a cost.

Hi.
All sounds good to me, but wouldn't mind a blast in an AMG round a track......... :)
13th Jan eh?
That may be a bit 'poo' weather wise. maybe something more spring time-ish? Just a thought...
Be interesting to hear what MBWorld come up with, if anything.
Later.

Not ideal if it's cold or wet, but if it's anything like November it'll be like a cool summer day!!

It all goes well we may line up more events, but it would be nice to do something in the not too distant future - now we're all 'up for it' it might be best to strike while the iron's hot!!

Welcome aboard Mergli!! No we have two CLK55's this may end up becoming C32, SLK32, CLK55 .... mini-meet soon!! :D

Mbworld sounds good to me also.

What would be an awesome sight to see is 10/15 AMG's on the M40/M1 all at once in a convoy :D

Dan - Been waiting to hear back from MBWorld

Right then...

MBWorld seems to have the most specific mentions, and something in January seemed to suit most.

I've sent a follow-up email to MBWorld but still not heard anything back which is a little dissapointing. I'll maybe call them if heard nothing early next week.

We could always just turn up as it looks like there'll be about 10 cars. The only thing that prove difficult if we haven't pre-arranged is finding somewhere to congregate if it's wet outside. However with so much to do there, I'm sure we won't be standing around too long anyway!! ;)

How about Sunday 14 January 2007 at MBWorld, with partners and families welcome?

Opinions please folks?
