Private number plate sell or not

I bought my car with a private number plate on it but I am going to put my own private plate on that I have on retention , the thing is I don't know whether to put the plate from the car on retention and sell in , that will cost me £105 or let the dvla have it is it worth selling if so what money could it be worth M6WWC .....maybe a M6 owner ??

Have a look on the DVLA site at what other M6 XXX plates are selling at, to give you an idea.

They sell lots of A1 ABC plates for around £250 - though the M6 may add a bit.

As Developer says an abundance of M3 ***5/6 plates on DVLA for £250 fees all Inc that's why I sold my last car an M3 with the M3*** plate on wasn't worth taking off unless I suppose you were buying another M3.

Looks like your right going for £250 that's £145 profit but would it sell in a year if I would loss out or would it be worth holding on to it
