Hi, i have my heart set on a private plate, however it is 52 year, and obviously my car is older (W202). Im pretty sure that it cant be transferred on to my car, is there a glimmer of hope that it can..!?

I've bought a plate for my 2 year old and will keep it on retention until she's 17
Hello,
No sorry, you cannot make a car appear newer than it is, however Bobby is correct if you like it you can buy it and keep it on retention each year paying £25. I like to dable in Private plates and have a few, I've given some family friends to use which save the retention fee.
I even am tempted to buy one for my daughter (she's 6 months old), that would be a few retentions... may just have to buy another car just to put it on.
will we still drive cars in 17yrs?.....
Cheers
Knowing sods law - it will be 21 years time......drinking age limit raised to 30....lol
I though buying one with daughter at 6months was early but 1 month... you beat me to it.
I guess the next thing is to name a child something like Xylo Bernard Yemon so to get a nice cheap plate first XBY 1 o)
I honestly don't wish to fall out with anybody here but what is the point of personalised plates? I have never been able to understand it.
