Well, what a mixed reaction  . Never mind though thats surely what this forum is all about and I wouldnt expect it to be any other way.

The trouble is I'm fifty but finding myself feeling twenty again and all the associated ideas I had then are resurfacing, one of them being a fancy for something a bit different on the front and rear of my car.

Yep, pass me the hairy chest wig, big gold watch, multiple gold neck wear and bling rings coz I make no apologies for sqeezing as much out of the next twenty years as I can, naff as it may look :p :D .

Oh, by the way, I nearly forgot there was a poll wasnt there?. UP02TZY It is then. I, and I say I as in me think it will look

Go for it Portzy it'll look great :)

Nice one D - and check my sig - nice to see it's your ethos too ;)

congratulations on the decision, and happy motoring.

Best wishes to your other half and I hope all is well.

Kind regards,
John

I'm going to put the cat amongst the pigeons here (sorry) ;) but don't you think personalised plates are just a bit naff.

I can't help thinking it's the modern day equivalent to an open shirt and a great big gold medallion.

I've had a few and find them intruiging, but can't explain why.

They may well be a modern medallion, but having a flash registration number probably isn't any more medallion-ish than driving a flash Merc, which most of us here do, or aspire to!!

Don't find them particually offensive myself, although I do prefer registration numbers that don't need distorting in some way - find them much better if they say what they say ...if you know what I'm saying!!

Finally, having owned a car with pop-up headlamps and a plate, you could say I'm a bit of a medallion man, so maybe your diagnosis is right afterall!! :D

Update

Finally done it. I took all, or most, of your advice (thank you) and today I got UP02 TZY :D .

Just five more weeks to wait then for something to pin it to, ah but at least I wont need to play around with Photo-Shop for the piccies though ;) .

Portzy (day 15)

I'm glad you have got your plate sorted mate

Are you going to put a fixing bolt at the top of that U by any chance (It could almost look like a D) ;)
