Is the starter turning the engine over?
When it failed to start was there a spark at the plugs? are they wet with fuel?
Did you try dribbling petrol down the inlet as Dieselman suggested?
If its not any of the above it goes back to the alarm/immobiliser or possibly the ignition switch/supply.You might want to check all the engine electric earths also.
