Hi all.
I have recently changed my 2000 SLK 350 to a 2005 SLK 200 and the problem is this.
I like to put a fitted car cover over the car as where it sits in driveway there tends to be a lot of falling pine needles which clog up things and had caused water to gather in parts of the car.
With the 2000 SLK there was no visible aerial but on the new one it has a sticky-up arial which stops the cover from fitting.
So I thought I would unscrew the ariel to put the cover on.
However when the aerial is removed the key / central locking does not work.
Is this normal or a feature peculiar to my car?
Wouls anyone have any advice on how to get round this? (Other than cutting a hole in the cover!)
