My local MB dealer has this and seems excellent at preventing punctures and blowouts.I goy a screw in the edge of the tyre tread making the tyre unrepairable and am thinking of getting this stuff put in.

Has anyone any experience?

Not designed for the sidewall of the tyre... nor will it reach the sidewall as it spreads around the tyre using centrifugal force.

My personal opinion with this stuff is stay away from it... it does a damn good job sealing the tyre to the rim permanently making future tyre removal very difficult, blocks the valve so you cant top up with air and hinders valve balancing.

If it were that good, legislation would insist upon its use.

if you have side wall puncture, you need a new tyre... full stop,

in addition to Spikes comments....the stuff you are talking about will probably slow down the release of the air, but wont prevent the puncture.

If the puncture is in the tread but near the shoulder you MAY be able to have the tyre vulcanised.
If the puncture is on the shoulder or in the sidewall then bin the tyre now.

Happy New Year guys and Thanks for your replies.I have taken your advise and am replacing the tyre.Took Fubbers advise and went to Costco, cheapest around and good service.
