Using the standard Audio 10 single slot CD I have noticed that when moving if I put the rear screen on it creates very bad interference and will not tune.
  • No interference if I put screen on when stationary but starts when I move
  • Does not cease if I come to a stop. But if I switch screen off then on again it's not there until I move off
  • Does not vary in pitch with engine speed (remembered that from my early days with old bangers!)
As you will have read I am going to swap it anyway but hate unsolved puzzles! Any thoughts? (come back Television! :bannana:)

Is the aerial integrated in the rear windscreen with the rear screen heater?

Is the aerial part of the rear screen? I assume the aerial is picking up some RF interference from somewhere. The "when moving thing" might refer to an earthing /wiring problem somewhere which gets worse [poorer contact] when the car is moving, or that the slightly increased system voltage from the alternator is enough to cause some component such as a capacitor to breakdown

Installed a Sony unit and have exactly the same problem. Don't even know where to start and of course at this time of year the rear screen is on more often than not!

Anybody got suggestions?

Disconnect the heated rear screen connectors under the D-pillar covers inside and see if that makes a difference.
