Ive just bought a quaife atb diff for my e55, if seen mixed reactions for this unit as it dosent react like a conventional lsd locking the wheel, have i made the right move? Dont get me wrong im all for traction when having a tear up with my mate in hes m5 but i also love the feeling of powersliding and overseer which i fear is not possible with this unit, could i get some feedback from anyone who has this unit? Thanks

The late Mark Herbert "testing" a Quaife ATB... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyKbywmc9Y4

Offroading aside, for the average bloke that *thinks* he's a good driver (that'll be most of us then) a torque biasing diff is a more sensible choice than a real LSD locker... more progressive, less violent and less likely to end in tears shortly after saying "watch this" to a mate [/gross generalisation]

I don't do modern stuff so don't know if/how much any nanny aids interfere with things to try and stop things getting out of hand before the driver runs out of talent.

Well being an ex british drift championship driver im used to a full lock up diff, i cant get on with the standard open mercedes diff which i think is ludricus to put standard in a high performance car, ive bought the atb as its listed as a limited slip diff just wanted to see any1s feed back on it

Thinking of fitting the Quaife to my stock C63. Does it have any impact on the ESP?

Does it have any impact on the ESP?
No, the ESP still works fine.

Thanks ST13Phil
