My 2012 PPP C63 was due a B service and transmission flush in a couple of months (I'm at 31k miles currently) but i normally get the jobs done early so I know everything is A-Ok. I got the obligatory quote from MB and nearly choked at a £1050 bill for a job that didn't even include plugs or filters. Then I remembered that one of my own customers runs a prestige export / import business in Poole and also has a workshop to boot.

I called them up and was quoted £620 if I supplied my own Mobil1. And.... that included the addition of spark plugs. I also asked about the possibility of a secondary cat delete, which they agree to on the proviso that they had enough time on the day.

I dropped the car off on Weds at 07.30 and at 17.00 the car was all good to go. Washed, serviced, cat delete and even provided with their own service stamp book as a record of your visit. The car also got a once over ref tyres, brakes etc with a full print out of the job. Oh, I also got a free courtesy car for the duration.

How much for all this then? Inc the cat delete, B service, transmission flush and plugs: £711 inc vat. Plus the £70 of oil i purchased from Opie.

Never thought of them before for servicing.

Your gearbox oil should have been done at year 3 your plugs this year.

No idea. I'll find out when I melt them. Google says 3 to 7g per cat but they are only secondaries.

Your gearbox oil should have been done at year 3 your plugs this year.

I am only going by what the car says. It's on the system exactly what the car needed.
