If it was variable you could set the limit as to how dark it goes, very simple to do

In my experience it goes darkest when the whole of the interior is filled with backlight. I just wish I had a button in my car to switch off the lights on the car behind me.

Those people who think they are making a social statement by emitting large amounts of light must not know about my dimming interior and side mirrors. Can hardly wait for my rear blind to arrive.

Blinds are handy, I leave the net wind deflector up all the year round in the SL and very useful for this

One day I might try a dimmer on the outside mirror,just to make it a little lighter

Dealer has now agreed to fit Auto-dimming rvm based largely on responses from this forum - they will also contribute £250 for inconvenience...
