I have the option of buying the carpet / plastics to replace the jump seats with the storage / no seat option...

Am assuming this will just swap in? Anything to be aware of?

Not sure whether the parts would go straight in - probably. I assume the seatbelt mounts would remove OK.

Be aware that you'd be 'devaluing' your car though - rear seats were a £1400 option on the 320 in 1997 (standard on the 500/600/SL60)!

The only reason to do that would be if you wanted to fit a decent sound system and fill it with amps and subs.

Cos you can fit subs in the carpet but not in the leather.... Seats would be retained for resale.

Yup you lost the rear seats if you specified Bose. No partial refund on cars with standard rear seats though!

I think it would be better to keep the seats boxed up and cut about the carpet section knowing i can return the car to factory if / when i sell.... or just sell it now and buy a 911... hmmm
