R171 Boot leak

Coming from an Elise to a Merc I didn't expect to be finding leaks like this.

Anyway, I've found the problem, both drain tubes at either side of the boot were full, so blocked. I took a hose into the drivers side after feeding some coaxial cable down as far as I could and poking around. The water was then running out under the car, so blockage removed.

However, I've tried the same on the passenger side and cannot seem to shift the blockage.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks to unblock these drains?

I usually blow through mine with an airline to keep them clear. Not sure how well this would work with a solid blockage though.

I guess if you get on the end of the tube and blast it through, it would probably dislodge the obstruction.

Where is the end of the drain? I had a look underneath just behind the rear wheel and found a slightly triangular shaped plug on each side. Removing these and there didn't seem to be a down tube coming down as I would've expected. I put my finger up there and felt a sponge, but no down tube.

Also, where abouts is this motor that I hear people talk about when talking about leaks in the boot?
