Rear Diff Oil

Hi there,

Do I need to change the rear diff oil on my 98' E240. I have done 90K on the clock.
If so, what oil should I be using?
Do I need to use fully synthetic or normal standard gear oil?

Hi mate, it will tell you in your owners manual. Mine was SAE 85 a type of Gear Oil....

Gearge Fraser did mine and it all leaked out within a few days. He blamed it on my car being old(!!??), but i still think the young lad didnt do the plug up properly...

If i remember correctly, the dealer will charge about £30-40 for the job and any garage about the same....
