Possible cause is that the polyurethane adhesive system (which bonds the glass to the car) has failed, or has a gap.

Is it a window on the rear doors or tailgate?

If the glass appears to be loose, it needs to come out. Get it removed and refitted by a recommended / reputable specialist.
In many cases, the factory-fitted glass is not 'set' or bedded down correctly (usually where the glue line ends up on / over an inner trim, for example).
