Recommendation for iPhone4 / Bluetooth / COMAND / CL500

Hi,

My new iPhone 4 arrives on Monday - ... . Car is W215 CL500, 2004 model facelift, widescreen COMAND with DVD Navigation in the boot. It currently has the fixed Nokia phone cradle. Believe I need to replace this with a Bluetooth module.

Question to esteemed forum members is - which Bluetooth module is the one to go for? What's known to work best with the iPhone 4, and what features / limitations are worth mentioning?

It has been suggested to me that the official MB 3G/3GS adapter works (*) for the 4G for bluetooth, and for everything else if you apply a little custom modification with a knife/file to the plastic. Allegedly you can test this by making electrical contact holding the thing at an angle. Someone braver than me who regularly takes apart their SL55 will probably verify this before too long.

That's my plan anyway.

(*)=works as well as it works with a 3G/3GS, which currently means contact lists are corrupted but no doubt this will be fixed in due course.

Oh, can't speak for compatibility between that adapter and your car.

If it has the fixed Nokia cradle for 6210 / 6310 and not the exchangeable cradle connector then your only option is ViseeO MBU1000. It will allow to connect any mobile to the system via bluetooth.
