Recommendations for Caliper Paint

Hi All,

What paint do you recommend to paint the brake calipers with?
I came across this Blackfriar's paint on amazon:-

Has anybody used this before?

Hammerite mine are still perfect and glossy 6 years later

Hi, Just about to do mine ,I have allways used this, hard wearing, easy to use. You can get most colours.

Just done mine , 1 tin of halfords brake calliper paint . The secret is in the prep , took me about 8 hours to do all 4 and 2 hours to repaint the logos .

I always use Halfords home grown and never found it lacking ( and I am shocking for cutting corners on prep)

Very satisfied with halfords stuff as well. Only once I found that the colour matrix was significantly different from what was shown in the label but this could have been a label printing issue rather that an issue with the paint.

At the moment it seems halfords only do blue, red & yellow paint online

Really wanted Black, can anyone recommend a good black paint?

is that ordinary hammerite? what is the temperature range on that?

I used normal hammerite blue on my last car they still looked blue after 2 years.

They aren't F1 brakes

They'll never get hot enough to affect paint.

Unless you drive like my elderly neighbour who keeps one foot on the brake at all times

Bar my current car, always used Hammerite on all of them.

The brakes never get hot enough to be a concern.
