Refurb alloys required near Weybridge

The missus has just badly kerbed front and rear of our SLK 350. she hit the kerb at about 20mph avoiding some nutter coming the over way.

The alloys are the 12 spoke 18" does anyone have any idea of cost and a decent place to take the car to get it done? we live a stones throw from MB World but I am guessing there are cheaper places to get it done!

there is damage to the spokes as well as the rims - is this fixable? this has spoilt the weekend a bit - the alloys were previously unmarked as we only got the car 2 months ago!

Use your spare and take the damaged wheel (or have it collected and returned) to Rimfurbish/Rimstock. They are in West Brom and I have used them and they are incredibly good.

BTW Rimfurbish refurbish the wheels for (IIRC) all MB dealerships.



Edit. They may well have a ready-rufurbed wheel in stock for a straight swap-out.

It is the logistics that is the problem - we need the car to commute - so we cannot just send the wheel away. I am also guessing it would be a nightmare getting the tyre off and putting it back on when the wheel is returned - and we have two wheels damaged.

We were hoping for a drop in service or someone who comes out to fix them. Also does anyone know how much this will cost per wheel?

Can't you put the spare on before it is collected ?

BJV will remove and refit the tyre after refurbing ...

Do you mean a man in a van who will do it with the tyre on ? what sort of finish are your wheels ? diamond cut or painted ?

In general the mobile repairers dont get as good a finish. The spare on an SLK is useless - assuming you have one. I have used Wheelworks in Crawley. Excellent results and offer same day turn around if you leave the car with them.
