I was thinking...I rarely post car related things......this is because I rarely have problems. My new (2 years ago) M class has had a couple of seat problems....my SL has had virtually no problems....my previous cars had few problems..(one of 190E's I bought new had none in my ownership).....though the C220 did just after I sold it....maybe we should start a poll....do you think your (MB) car is reliable and send the results somewhere. I think we might be surprised just how reliable they are!

Dealers?....Hm...different experience:mad:

Same probably goes for dealers.

99% of interactions might be good but you hear about the 1% that are not.

You have not sufficiently defined reliable!

Well I've listed the problems I've had in fifteen years of dual MB ownership (does that count as thirty!?)....I've never broken down....never really had any problems....that's a fairly loose but useful definition of reliable.

For me reliability meansI can rely on something to do what I want it to do when I want it to do it and to the standard it is supposed to do it.

So by and large Edna has been very reliable. Couple of issues with speed sensors and the roof/boot being out of alignment but that's it. In mechanical terms she has been 100% reliable and since the niggles were sorted there has been nothing. A total gem.:D :D

Exactly...I once had (in my biking days) a Triumph 750 which I bought because it was new (and I was supporting the Co-op) and was a bike I could go all over the country on......never got out of Yorkshire....never.....binned it and got a Moto Guzzi....older and cheaper....took me all over Europe "sans problem"....:)
