Looking for some guidance and advice, hope someone can help.
The remote central locking (using the key fob) has completely stopped working on my 1994 W124 E220. I can now only lock/open the car via the passenger door (central locking pump still working okay). I tried the "quick wins" i.e. new fuse & batteries for key fob but hasn't resolved the issue.
Interesting thing is that the boot light has also stopped coming on and looking at the drivers manual, it appears the boot light as well a few other component are supported by the same fuse as the remote central locking. I know the boot light bulb is okay because when I was pulling out the casing the light turned on (touching the the metal body around the casing). I'm assuming this rules out it being a problem with the fuse???
In which case, can anyone recommend the next course of action I should take?
