removing and replacing exterior door trim/strip - b class

Hi,

i have 2005 b class.

I need to replace the silver exterior rear door strip that runs horizontal on the outside of the rear door. About half way down the door.

ie the silver strip that is abotu a cm thick.

Part o mine has been ripped off.

Can i just pull it off, or is a special tool essential?

Is a new one just pushed into place or is there a special tecnique or tool required?

The strip is £51 from mercedes with fasteners included.
I only wanbt to buy and do myself if nice and easy!

Recently did the front on my B class for the same reason, the whole trip comes off by lifting it up the glass, but easier with the window open. When you go to your MB dealer for the part, it will become obvious. You need to remove the small plastic ends from the old trip to refit into the new one.
