Replacement aerial mast for W202, help please

My aerial is jammed in the upright position, I reckon its had it and I dont think even soaking it in degreasing solution will help unstick it. Any suggestions for a replacement?

Think i saw one on ebay at the moment, not sure if its the correct one tho! next step would be the stealers!

Look for the TINY number and I mean TINY on the end of the mast for the correct replacement no. You will need an assistant to put it in. One person to work the radio one to remove/ insert the the mast. Pluggers did a how to on this I think.http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=15560

Mine is a type 11 as indicated on the end of the mast as probably yours is. My guess is over £20 . . .

last time i went to the dealer to ask abt a mast they quoted me £40!! Thats when i decided to have a go at lubing mine and its been ok so far!

Just found out its not a standard MB aerial after removing it, previous owners have done a crap job in installing it too....

so plan B?

If the mounting hole is standard mercedes benz then euro car parts do Hirschmann and Beru aerials for your car and should fit I think.

I went to sextons when mine packed up. I think it was about 30 pound for the complete thing then just a case of removing old one and fit new one. Has worked fine for a couple of years. Just clean mast off every month and the thing will last!!!!!!!

Go for the Hirchmann aerial from ECP as this was used by MB in addition to Bosch. Beru was not used by MB but that does not necessairly mean to say that it is not up to the job.

The hirschmann ones from ECP are excellent, have one on the 123, been on there for years, excellent quality...
