Retrofit additional seat to Vito

They must have changed it - a few years ago some of us volunteered to drive the school mini-bus and had to have a PSV license.

For school or care home it counts as commercial as it is part of a commercial service. I don't see how school fits that, but care home clearly does.

"Some commercial businesses i.e private nursing homes and school nurseries etc, operate minibuses as a small part of their business activity. In these cases, because the business gets paid a fee by their clients to be residents of their home, or children in their care, which indirectly includes the use of the minibus, this would be classed as ‘hire or reward’. Other examples of ‘hire or reward’ include where petrol money has been taken for taking children to school every day; or where courtesy coaches have been provided by a hotel as part of their amenities"

Interesting are the notes at the end about regular and non-regular service, and an implication that out-of-pocket expenses (I read: petrol money totalling less or equal equal to fuel cost) are permitted for non-regular services. But that's my reading of the whole page in conjunction with the end - but I cannot vouch for it's legal standing

Hi. I know this is quite an old post, but I hadLove the same question about a Viano. We’re thinking of getting one soon as just had twins, but we would really like to have 9 seats.
The Viano’s seats are a cut above most Vitos and don’t feel like a van at all.
Question is - can you get a 2 seat bench for the front retrofitted or are the Viano’s seats different?
Thanks!
