Returning to merc after a 3 year lay off

Hi everyone,
New member here from the midlands,just bought a 59 plate e class sport coupe 350 cdi.....just in time for the snow lol.....stuck on the drive since saturday....been offered a set of winter tyres(plus wheels) by my merc dealer which seem damned expensive(£1800),will try to find the correct thread to ask if their worth it.

Your model of car will have fairly wide alloy wheels and high speed rated tyres so I imagine that will push the price up considerably. Part of the deal buying through a Mercedes agent is that I think they offer to fit/store your other wheels as a part of the deal. You would undoubtedly manage to reduce the price by shopping around for a cheaper wheel tyre combination but beware of downsizing wheels too much because there is then a danger of fouling the brake calipers especially on the sport models .
