Not sure if this is the correct area to post this but I would like to know if anyone knows what the nuts fixed to the roof are.
I have bought a second hand set of Thule roof bars for an E-class assuming they would be the same and with a little trimming to the rubber feet they do fit. Unfortunately they have M6 bolts to fix to the roof which are too small (M8 are to big)!
I have had a fiddle with bolts and the best fit I can find are 1/4 UNF but I cant believe a 4 year old German car has imperial bolts fitted.
Does anyone know what they are so I can buy the correct bolts to fit the roof bars?
