my c140 500.. i have just fitted 19 inch wheels to my car.. the tyre size as recommended by murray systems is 285 35 19 on rear and 255 40 19 on front.. on the rear offside the tyre scrapes on the arch when under load ie speed bumps... i find it strange that it is only on one side... what method should be used to roll / grind arches... many thanxs...

Is this a tyre width problem or ride height?
Check the ride height for each corner. Measure the distance from ground to arch through the line of the centre of the wheel.

You have probably got the correct tyre sizes on the car as recommended by Murray Systems but need to confirm the exact spec of the alloy wheels first. I too find it strange that only one side is rubbing. May be it could possibly be a worn shock/suspension component if it transpires that the wheels are of the corrrect spec to the OEM wheels if they are not OEM?

It could be you've got a broken or weak spring, my fronts had to be replaced as they'd weakened causing the car to ride too low on the front.
