Amongst some bodymods like grille facelift. see other thread.
I am planning a respray and colour change. But need to tackle a few bits of rust around wheelarches and replace a wing.
I'm trying to decide on a reproduction wing or a good second hand one ?
Both are same price ? I'm tempted to fit Merc one because it will fit more easily.
Other thing is a small hole appearing underneath no sign of it from inside the car yet. Should I cut it out and weld a patch ?
Is it possible to repair the sideglass. Mine has lots of scraches on it ?
I also tried to remove the scratches from some of the chrome window trim with some Metal TCUT but they are too deep. Any options on this ?
Any help appreciated
thanks

Replica panels are a false economy, they don't fit properly and don't last very long...

If you can feel the scatches on the side glass with your fingers, then the only option is to replace the glass. Price it at the dealers as some of it is surprisingly cheap.
About the hole underneath, welding a patch in is probably the best long term cure but make sure you don't set fire to anything.
It is impossible to remove deep scatches from chrome. Chrome is a very thin coating. Try your local breaker's yard for replacement bits.
