S205 C220 estate AMG Premium Plus

Brilliant Blue is the best colour...I would have picked it but the wife hates blue, so I went for Obsidian Black! You've made the right choice on the colour, pity about that missing plus pack though ; -)

Arrrrrrrh. Jame, should I have gone for solid black or white and added pp pack???

Tbh I let my daughter pick the colour. She had great memories of the ST220 we used to have. She wanted the same colour.

Is it true that you can't use the Internet or watch DVD's while on the move? That's the main reason I didn't go for command in the plus pack.

Ant.

Brilliant Blue looks really smart on the new "C" , it's light enough to show the contrasting black trim etc , had a new C63 saloon stopped next to us at the Eurotunnel waiting area in Brilliant Blue , very tasty. Black, when it's clean, is a smart colour but everything just blends in ,trim ,tyres etc and it's hard work trying to keep it clean. My previous car was a black Passat CC which suited the car well but there was an awful lot of paintwork to polish.

I'm chuffed to bits with my Brilliant Blue Sport Line Premier Plus Estate.
Blue is the new black, mind you every other car on the road now seems to be blue!

You won't regret the blue Ant! DVD visual goes off but the sound stays on...good for music DVD's. Not tackled the Internet yet.

I'm sure we'll love the car James. I'm guessing the only tell tale sign will be the black speakers and slightly smaller view on the screen. :(

Looking forward to driving it too as the only demo available was a C Class 200d so the 250d should be a bit quicker.

Is the adjustment for steering colum electric or manual? And can you add it to memory setting for seats?

And can you open tailgate by kicking action under rear bumper?

Sorry for all the questions. Just can't wait till it comes. We've never had a car of this quality before. It's a rare treat for us.

Ant.

I think my neighbours 250D has the premium pack , it doesn't have the auto-opening tailgate though. He was quite relieved as he wants to put a towbar on it .

Awwwww. That's a shame. I really fancied this. A friend has it on his Ford Kuga.

It's annoying when it's mentioned on the 2 C Class apps I have loaded onto iPad.

I'm wondering what plate is your neighbours C Class?

Mine will be 65 plate and MY16

Ant

My Premium Plus has electric steering wheel adjust which is memorised...steering wheel moves out of the way when you turn the engine off! Kick action works too...handy when your hands are fully.

My 220d is quick, having it remapped to 200hp before Christmas to make is quicker...150mph and 60 in 6.9. The 220d is that from stock, will be quick Ant.

250d is that from stock I mean!

Hi James. Thanks for the info.

I'm happy about the kick action. I really like that idea. And didn't know the steering wheel retracts either. Handy for my wife as she is disabled (hence the estate for her scooter)

Is there anything else that you car does that you didn't know about???

I've been looking into arranging remapping for mine when it comes too. Depends on price I guess. Had my ford transit done last year and extra power is great and not effected MPG a great deal.

The car we ordered was a factory build due to colour and 360 degree camara. Ordered it in June. They gave me 21st September date at first then changed to 19th October just a week ago. They say it's on the ship right now. Never sure if they're lying or just making excuses.

Either way 35 days and counting. :bannana:

I have been quoted £350 for a 30hp increase from a reputable place in Evesham...gotta be worth it! Let me think about the other stuff it has that I wasn't expecting...

Sorry James. I'm not sure I follow ya.

The order is a factory build. It wasn't pulled from stock.

Why do you ask mate?

Ant.

By stock he means standard. He's saying that the 250d has that power as standard (from stock)

He took delivery about 2 months ago.
Had a quick look at the online brochure and "Easypack" is standard on all estate models.

Sorry. Now I understand. Builder here that's a little down Brain Power compared to most people.

Cheers.

It is, but you only get the 'kick' with the keyless entry

Yeah I mean the 250d is 200hp (210 even?) as standard...you're looking 230 plus with a remap. Silly power and acceleration from 4 pot diesels, I had an E39 BMW 535i V8 M Sport not so long back - was 'fast' at the time and would now be embarrassed by a standard 250d!
