I have just fitted a towbar to my E280 estate and have a problem with the wiring for the stop/tail lights which are led.
I have wired the 7 way bypass as per the instructions for single wire stop/tail with just the red wire connected to the single wire on the offside light and the brown and black omitted, but when operating the tail lights i only get the bright light of the stop light no dim for tail.
is the wiring for led lights different? I thought the relay detected the different signals and illuminated the correct light.
Any help appreciated.
