This has been for sale a looooooong time.

Looks a good spec and would probably last for ever (well the engine would)

For me the colour doesn't look right (and the bonnet I hope isn't shut correctly..)

A lot of car for the money?

I thought the Avantgarde has the darker birds-eye maple wood, unless you could have specified the lighter wood found in the elegance models?

What a terrible ad. Classified as an A140, no mention of the COMAND satnav, rear screen or 7 seats. Reg date shown as 1 Jan 2003, which would make it a 52-plate, but it's clearly a 53.

It's like they don't want to sell it...

A friend of mIne offered him a straight swap with his 52 plate S320 CDi and he want £4000 as well as the S-Class!!!!!!

There's something afoot here, surely.

It's Cubanite, which is an OK colour. Why it looks bad in those photos I'm not sure.

The spec is terrific, but no mention of the real gems such as HK audio, rear COMAND screen, TV, 7 seats, memory seats on both sides at the front, plus 4-zone climate, and the piece de resistance, it looks like it has distronic and auxuiliary heating.

For £7500, it's got to be worth it. Like Troon says, it's like they're trying very hard NOT to sell it.

Since when has Scunthorpe been in Doncaster I've looked at a few cars at that place myself, stock as always been clean and as described, got to be worth a look, must be deal to be done there?

I thought thats too gold to be cubanite. If so the fellas camera is out. Spec is good, but a 7yr old 5litre estate car is not the easiest thing to sell. In that price range, people will want a newer diesel.

Lovely car, but the colour, being polite, is not for me.

That's travertine beige, Cubanite is a smoky silver colour. My E500 was Elegance spec, but the insurers listed it as Avantgarde. Doesn't really matter at the e500 level as the it has everything. Great cars.

woahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm from Rotherham, well Rawmarsh actually, so if you think Rotherham is bad Google Rawmarsh, makes Doncaster look like Henley on Thames
