This Morning I could not get the gear lever out of Park (foot on brake as normal). Restarted the car and gear lever works as is should. Is this just one of those things or should I get it looked into?
Regards Tony.

It maybe a glitch but its possible you have a fault somewhere.

I doubt it would have logged a fault. Just monitor it and if it does it again there is a way of getting it out of P.

It happened to my 220. I know a number of 220's that has had that fault, it will happen again I'm afraid. I would get it checked out.

I was lucky, i had Service Plus at the time. It is quite an expensive job £500/£600 i seem to remember. They had to replace the whole gear lever module.

Good luck.

Is it hard to get it out of gear if it gets stuck "big time" At night I leave it blocking the front gate at home so it could be a reel pain if it gets stuck.

I seemed to be a big job. It took two mechanics with a lot of banging to release the gear lever. Ollie ( BLACK55 ) might know a quicker way.

The brake light switch can cause this on a 220 and at £9.75 its the easy thing to try first
