hi,i know before i start this is going to sound a little strange but here goes,i took delivery of my new car and it's fitted with command with version 4.1 dvd,i input a destination and the voice commnd and arrows work perfectly, however the map is another story,it shows locations on route on opposite sides to where they actually are,if a village is on my left it shows on the map as on my right? same applies to any location?i contacted the dealer and they say it's normal as far as there aware?if i dont input a destination the same thing happens in map mode and it reads top to bottom as my direction as well as still showing locations opposite to where they actually are?does anyone have any similar experiences or suggestions on this please?

Hi Notts,
I don't really understand what your saying, but there are two settings we can chose from.

One is:

North Orientatation, this will always have North at the top of the map.

The second is where the direction you are travelling is always at the top.

I would suggest a quick read of the COMAND manual. In my edition this information is on page 137.

I apologise if I have misunderstood the question,

Regards,
John

hi john
from what you say maybe that is the problem,''orientation'' i'll check it out and hopefully it will work.thank you for taking the time to answer.

:) Fingers crossed,
My wife found the orientation mode quite confusing.

Good luck,
John

my work mates find the one with the car pointing north all the time easy, but i dont. i prefer to see the map still and the car move about...so it seems to be a person thing...bit like them who move the map on their legs while they direct you....i cant do that.
