Satnav upgrade, what do I need?

Hi

Interested in upgrading my satnav so its more upto date. It is a DVD based system (W211 E55k). I guess you need a new disc (which will be very expensive from the dealer) just wondered if anyone could tell me if there are different ones that will or wont be any use (so I don't buy something from ebay for example I then cant use!)

The latest one is: Comand Online Ltd :: Mercedes SatNav/COMAND :: Mercedes Navigation Disks :: Comand APS Map DVD Europe 2010/1011 (V11.0) for E (W211), SL, SLK, Maybach, S (W220), CL (W215), CLS

You can identify it by the green band on the cover. Just make sure whatever disc you buy is for NTG1.

I recently went from version 5 (came with the car) to v11 (bought from comandonline, excellent service, and very prompt).

v11 is much better. Better looking maps, TMC works, and is much more accurate.

Thanks guys, very prompt and very helpful. I take it you had to pay the full up £219? Is there a cheaper way?
