Scratched COMAND front fascia plane

Got my car home, and was so caught up in checking the outside - missed a deep scratch across the COMAND unit.

Is this addressable, or can you get new fascia plates?

That is nasty.

I'd be replacing rather than repairing. Even if you get it something like, you're still going to notice it. The glossy bit under the buttons may come out with polish, but be prepared for a long time polishing it.

I see a perfect excuse to try carbon dipping - would probably cost no more than a new fascia?

Take it off and paint the whole thing piano black like the section under the button.

I would take mask up the buttons etc. and spray it with Plastikote Matt Black.

Almost a perfect match for German black plastics.

This was a silver trim I sprayed from a BMW, you can see it matches the black on the idrive controller pretty well...
