Even if you get it something like, you're still going to notice it. The glossy bit under the buttons may come out with polish, but be prepared for a long time polishing it.

Almost a perfect match for German black plastics. This was a silver trim I sprayed from a BMW, you can see it matches the black on the idrive controller pretty well...
