So; I (finally) bought a digital camera! Problem is, its running of my phone/gps/wii SD card (whichever is free-est when I need it :p)

I had a chat with the techies down at Pentax, who assured me the camera could feed the SD/SDHC slot faster than any of the cards currently on the market could cope; great!

Now my issue is this; the SD standard allows only 2GB addressing, while the SDHC allows 32GB; great. Problem is, with SD, (someone correct me if I am wrong) the maximum data transfer speed is 133x (roughly 20MB/s if I am not mistaken). On the other hand, the new and improved SDHC format's highest class is Class6; which is 6MB/s. (At least they are clearer on the speeds!)

Am I calculating something wrong? Is it possible that tne new system is slower than the old?

Secondly, has anyone used "Veho" brand cards? eBuyer has 2GB ones for just over £10 - (to which one can add google-checkouts £10 off on £30... 3 cards for £20 isn't bad at all!) Or am I better sticking to Sandisks Ultra III?

Sorry for the late reply, I seem to be letting too many threads slip through my fingers! (we need a "view all threads that I have posted too, and have since been replied too" button :P)

I got the Sandisk Ultra III from play.com; I'm quite impressed! I think I'm going to order another ultra III from play.com and a set of 3 Veho's from eBuyer - but I can't seem to find the link on eBuyer anymore! Doh!
