Seat belt warning problem

Had another issue, the seat belt system tells you as you set off which belt is in use, and if a seat belt is undone while you are moving it tells you. All good.

Now imagine you stop to let Mummy get out of the passenger door, while child is staying in the car, except the child undoes the belt because they think they are going too. Now you pull off with child unbelted and no warning comes up.

This seems like a bug to me.

But on wider point how do you get these addressed, my local dealer seems clueless, other than to say pay ~£100 and we will put it on the star machine, when pushed they say contact MB UK when I ask about this sort of thing, while MB themselves are more interested in the crime of a customer talking to them rather than the dealer.

Could this forum set up a bug tracking database for MB?

you dont get a warning for rear seats, only front seats some cars have picture of seat belts clipped in on the instrument cluster

The OP has a W204 which does have warning for rear seats.

The only way to overcome the OP's scenario, as far as I know, is to turn the engine off and restart which will then indicate a seat belt not done up.
