 hi guys new to the forum so yeah whad up. Just in the process of purchasing a e320 Cdi sport w211 fell in love at the first drive (gotta love German engineering) I want to turn it into a 7 seater in the boot. I'm sure people on here have done the conversion just wanted some advice pls. I have the seats and seat belts lined up ready to buy just wanted to make sure if it can be done, what problems I may face and if the chassis have generic holes for the conversion. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope your fountain of knowledge can help

Is there a particular reason why it has to be *this* car?

I will probably be easier and cheaper to find a car specced with it, there's enough 211s out there. Unless you can luck into getting a complete setup from a car being broken for spares, it's going to be very expensive.

He did say he had the parts lined up.:wallbash:

Does the car's V5C show it as a 5 seater? (seats number didn't used to be stated)

Car has been purchased sat on my drive now absolutely love it. The seats I have lined up are from a seller on eBay who states there are from a w211 and he wants £289 from them they look complete. Would post pics but my phone won't let me. I've asked for more pics but no reply yet. Thanks for getting back to me guys. Will keep you posted on progress

Now you have to tell DVLA you're going to modify it, and your insurance Co.

(That's why I said that....^^)

Apart from those factors, the work involved is OK, if you really have all the parts needed.

Can anyone recommend a good breakers yard?
