Cheers though can't see me having a punt at it, though a g wagen/SEC crossbreed could be interesting that SLK/G turned some heads

Ahh, splendid, saves me posting the listing.
The other shell was a 500 not a 560 which was a shame so I've had a slight renegotiation as I'll have to change the wings and some other bracketry. Not an issue though, and quite a find.
They both turned up absolutely filthy and sopping wet, I've dried them down and stored them inside, but you would have thought they'd have thrown a tarp or something over them.....I dunno, some people just have no common sense.

Good isnt it, mudster did well on these... no good to me though... my SEC is fine on the rust front!
really... you did well if you got 3K, didnt pay much more for my entire car!

yup, had quite a few interested parties. In fact I could easily have sold both a few times over.
The thing is, it's actually worth more than a complete used car because of it's rarity and new condition, there were plenty of people willing to pay what I wanted.

its nice to hear that there are still people out there putting the time and effort into these cars... it worries me that with legislation and taxes going the way they are that these older classics will become a thing of the past... i mean we can only keep these cars as long as we can tax, fuel, insure them.. and of course as long as parts are available...
