secondary air pump

I am a loss now I have changed the air pump / relay and reset the errors and every thing has been ok long trips and short trips every thing ok , then after 70 miles of fastish driving sitting in trafic at a junction and .. on came the check engine light . car drove home as if it had not a problem . reset the light took it out for another trip and no problem .. what can i try now ? lambda sensors have got 'lazy' on start up ?

the same as before i replaced the air pump and it went away for 2 weeks . thae same syntoms a fastish drive and then as i sit at a junction / trafic lights the light just pops on

yes an intresting read I think I will look at the air valves as I had a new pump fitted and relay.

it happend again ! and now I can make it happen when I want to . do a 30 mile drive stop leaving it in drive and it is perfict ... then as soon as you put it in park the light will come on after ten seconds. I have tried this several times this weekend and I get the same code P0410 . the pump is working when it should .. why does the fault when it changes in to park. !!!!!! I am at a loss may be I should take the bulb out !!

Its fixed !!! well I hope the secondary air injection valves were blocked a bit of a clean and two cans of brake cleaner and they look much better .and I can not make the light come on !

That was a nice read about the air injection malfunction. I was trying to change my air pump for my car but as I read it in here, I might try to really take these instructions into consideration. Thanks for this one!
