Service A or B ?

Hi folks,

I had a warning recently saying service A was due and then over due 400 Miles that then changed in a few days to Service B? Which up till it said A i was a happy chap now its saying B which is gonna cost more money

Anyone know why its done this.. I had done max maybe 100 miles before it started saying service B

Yes but that extra 100 miles meant that the service is now 500 miles overdue.

Only by accessing the car with a Star system will you know exactly which item from the B service is now due (and the dealer should only undertake the items listed by the car).

That the E Class - I don't think C Class ASSYST has that "feature". The schedule is A or B, where (basically) A is oil change and some checks, and B is oil, pollen filter, wiper blade change and some more checks. Additional work is mileage or time related and listed in the service book.

Dealers attitudes seem to vary, but I told mine I wanted an A and that's what they did. It will come back showing next service B though.

Hey chaps.

Mine has done that for the last 4 years ..... It is service A up until about 1000 miles before and then it changes to B. I now know it correlates to the length of time between services - I usually go just over the 1 year mark, so it tends to change from A to B around the 12th month.

I will let you know. I've got 3K miles to go for a service A and 6 weeks to the 1 year mark. See who wins ....

I bet, however, it will be a service B ..... for my luck
