Hi all,

I hope everyone is well.

I was just wondering can a vehicle's service history be obtained via STAR Diagnostics?

If yes, what is the best way to get this done and surely people shouldn't be worried if they purchase a vehicle that doesn't have a service history book.

The only negatives I can see is the hassle to put the car on STAR and the cost.

Star will give just a basic readout of the age and mileages at which the inidicator was reset... Its not really an accurate portrayal of history.

If the car has been serviced by a Mercedes Dealer then a printout can be obtained from them of the service history.

If the numbers of resets tally, could this be considered accurate enough?

Is there any other way of accessing the car's computer to find out?

What if the car was owned by a director of a company, such as Dixon Motor Group?

Chances of a MB service are low.

Well remember that anyone can reset the service indicator, its detailed in the user manual.
Also you will have no idea what has been done... they could have just changed the oil and reset the light at every service.
