Service Light Reset

Anyone know how to reset the service light on 1999 clk 230 kompressor elegance auto coupe pre facelift, car shows - 9500 mls but has been serviced by me regular.

Does it require a tool or is there a code punch in.

If you mean the service message then it tells you how to do it in the handbook. If you havent a handbook then i'll copy from mine later. (cars been put to bed )

I had a look but it didn't say. It's not got steering wheel buttons or anything like that where you go into a menu? It's cloth interior, no lights on mirrors etc. When the car is started it says -9500 mls then dissapears.

Mine is the same model year as yours with no indicators in the mirrors so here is the procedure from the handbook. (its on page 28 of the interior book)

Turn key to position 2 in ignition and press the 0 button (left side of cluster) twice within 1 second
Turn key back to 0 position. Keep 0 button pressed.
Service display with current remaining distance or time appears
After 10 seconds an acoustic signal will sound and the service display with the new starting distance or time appears for 10 seconds.
Release button 0.

Havent tried this myself but thats what is stated in the handbook. Hope it works!
