Anyone out there have experience changing all 4 shocks on a C43 or any W202 with sports suspension? If so, how long a job is it and are there any ancillary items that should be changes at the same time?

Happy New Year

Thanks.

the c43 has sport suspension from factory

many fit h&r after market springs and shocks with a drop also

as time wise hard to say if its in a garage half hour for the rear both sides i have done in past takes two people

as for the front hour and half and you may as well do the wishbones as you are at it

Is this a wise job to do without spring compressors?

the shock and spring on a w202 are separate not like most cars independent in each corner

you will need proper tools and know what your doing i have to say to do this job

I changed my front lower wishbones the other day. You do need spring compressors, and I've found the internal type of spring compressor is best rather than the more common external hook type.

Apart from that its not really difficult, but you do need to be a reasonably amateur mechanic with a reasonable set of tools.

good advice but i would not start the job unless you had the correct spring compressor

the wishbone change on a w202 makes a huge difference i found i also changed the drag link on mine a half hour job it also helps
