He so wanted the new S212 to be better than it is to replace his S211 now when they sneaked the pictures of this out a while back he was sold.

In my view,The 210 was a load carrier.
The 211 more of a lifestyle car
The 212 much more of a life style car
The proposed CLS "Shooting Brake" is not an estate car at all.
I n fact,I am sure that Flash Gordon used to drive something like that !!

I think that is a superb looking car and am extremely pleased MB are going ahead with production.

As for the etymology of name, I couldn't care a tinkers cuss. I remember seeing photos of coach built Aston Martin DB6 and V8 vantage shooting brakes and even XJS shooting brakes in magazines in the 80s and always thought they looked superb.There have been a few similar cars produced over the years such as the Scimitar and BMW Z3M Coupe, but this new car takes it to a whole new level.

As for whether it's an estate or a coupe. Who cares?

I just hope they leave the cargo area the same as the pics. Looks superb.
