E320 CDI. Rust, Good for towing. Cheap. Economical.
The 320Cdi is a mind blowing engine when compared to the Range Rover diesels.
I would definitely try one and the only worry would be bodywork issue and that very sadly is a major worry.
Apart from the worry of corrosion, they are built like tanks. My wife was negotiating a roundabout when a car failed to even slow down and drove straight into the nearside of our vehicle. The offending Puegeot was wrote off, but but the front paassenger door and rear nearside pasenger door of our vehicle still opened and closed (that was the area of the collision) Brilliant car and highly recommended. Bags of luggage space.
Measurement wise the 211 is bigger but it certainly does not look it
2017 Audi RS6 Avant Performance Edition. Range Rover Supercharged - Lovely!
IF, you can get a car with Full MB History the rust will be covered by the warranty.
I had a new rear tailgate and two new front wings on my 2002 W210 CDI courtesy of MB, and it didn't even have full MB history.
Full MB History until the last service before I bought the car which was carried out by an ordinary garage, but I argued that I wasn't in control of that because I didn't own the car at the time... I thought it was a very generous gesture by MB.
Mine does 22mpg to work and back, 30mpg on a run, drove all around france in it 80 mph everywhere 27.7mpg over 1500 miles quite happy old TD5 was no better and that was driving it a lot slower.
Howard also a member had clk430 not many 430s about, i think people frightened of running costs.
Straight 6 w210 very early cars, was replaced with v6.
Google mercedes 112 engine probs, then 113 engine probs, then just for a laugh p38 engine problems.
112 is v6 and 113 v8
Sorry to run on but they really are very good engines.
