Not sure what this is , but if you are referring to the MAS , i would leave it well alone.

White spirit won't harm car paint , unless yours is painted with Dulux gloss.

Me neither, I've had a look at plates with and without an ENG or GB square thingy on google.

For my A Class. I don't think it'll look good. The main reason I think is because them plates are fine on wider cars, but where the A Class is rather tall, it makes the plate look daft.
