SLK lease bargain?

I often wonder if these deals actually exist or maybe it was a one off cancelled order that's had a lost deposit on it (therefore can be rented out at what appears to be a loss).

I leased two new cars through my business in September this year and went to a couple of dealers like these guys that were offering fantastic offers.

As these are company vehicles I'm not overly fussy about the exact spec, i.e. I'll take whatever you have if the deal is good enough....and many of these offers are "gone" or not available when you call up.

Reminds me of the Dial A flight adverts to an extent.

I ended up with two SAAB's they did an incredible deal on two fully loaded cars for less than the cost of Vectra's (and that was direct with SAAB not using a Broker) so sometimes it actually pays to ask the manufacturer directly.

You're missing out if you're tempted but don't think they exist.

I had my A4 Cabriolet from these guys, It was a real car ;)

In all seriousness, it was about half price of what it should have cost, nobody could come within £200/month of the rate I got. Take advantage if you can, it's a great price

I'm saying whenever I've come across deals of this nature and called to say I'll take it, they never have existed so far. Or out of the blue credit wasn't accepted etc etc...some may well be genuine, but many are simply there to entice you in.

I've called Skyfleet once before about a special offer, and it is legitimate - the deposit is greater though as you might expect. For the car I called about, the total cost was ball-park similar to the car when not taken on special offer - it was just tipping the deposit versus payment seesaw in different directions to appeal to different people.

A week or so ago a fellow member (thank you) pointed me towards http://www.lingscars.com/ for a deal they were doing on GLs. Ling actually says somewhere or other, great deals come up on a limited number of cars, but you do need to act quick. Of course great deals get snapped up.

As Bobby Dazzler has noted, good deals go quick - hence you've probably been unlucky and missed out.

However, it depends on supply - some cars seem to be on a good offer for ages, I *considered* a BMW 320 coupe about 6 months back, they were doing it on a very, very good deal then - £199/month with a reasonable deposit (it's still £199/month but with a large deposit now) that was on the same offer for a good month or two, and when I checked again a few weeks later, it was still available.

seems good at first, but add auto+metallic+ extras +vat, bet it will not be such a good deal. Also its 6payments up front followed by 23.depends what you want though

These deals do exist and are available but they do also change all the time. A number of members on here secured very good deals.

With skyfleet I found before that the cars had been pre-ordered and whilst there were a number available they were a fixed basic spec. If you wanted to add any extras such as leather it would have been proportionally very expensive as it wouldn't be part of the deal. That isn't always the case though.

I've also noticed a number of companies quoting 6+23 now to make the payments look cheaper than the traditional 3+23.

That Ling Cars website is the best company website I've seen for ages! Talk about personality shining through the screen!

Brilliant, thanks Mr Dazzler.

No problem - Fuzzer suggested. Good though init??

My Crossfire was via Skyfleet - 199GBP per month + VAT. Even though it was a mistake, they let me have it, and continued to look after me for the 12 month period. I'd recommend them, although I notice that the industry in general has changed a little over the last couple of years, and a lot of the cracking deals have disappeared.

I've also been happy with Easy Car Contracts. Had the Mini Cooper Convertible through them.
