SLS Sold.....GT Incoming

Thanks Steve :thumb:

Now, the red in those pictures is definitely the non-metallic Fire Opal - the pictures of the Edition 1 I posted are, I think (?), a mix of Fire Opal and Hyacinth. But I can't tell for sure and am really stuck between these two.

Then.....having written off the blue and the forged multi-spoke wheels (preferring the GT-S's standard wheel design), I see the pictures in the latest CAR magazine of a blue car with the forged multi-spoke wheels :wall bash: Damn, that looks really good too! I wonder if it's the same blue as the new C63 (the GT brochure describes it as Brilliant Blue?).

I think red is still favourite - the blue looks more classy, but this is a sports car so red feels the more appropriate option.

Bugger it.....the SLS has potentially sold so it's going to the dealer today :( I believe the buyer could be someone famous, but obviously I can't share that detail publicly

Oh well, another SLS era comes to an end which probably wouldn't seem so bad if I didn't have to wait another 4-5 months for the GT to arrive. If one good thing has come out of this it's that my dealer have stuck to their word and are keeping me in a car at no cost to me until the GT arrives. So, whilst my chariot for the next few months is in their hands, as least I'm not paying for it.

Good GT S article in Evo this month. They drive it with the 911 GTS.

cheers, Steve

CAR magazine's summary of the AMG GT-S v 911 GTS:

"Not surprisingly then, the 911 is the purer, more focussed and ultimately more dynamic choice. The new Mercedes AMG is neither the perfect GT nor the perfect sports car. But it straddles the two categories with addictive appeal and ability."

Just sold my SLS to Jools Holland....

I once sold a car to A.N.Other, well that's what the cheque said anyway.

They favored the 911.

It was actually the AMG came out on top

Verbatim from the Evo article:

'Today the GT S wins. It's a fantastic car. Bring on the new Audi R8. The AMG GT S is ready'

It's a phenomenally positive review, as indeed are all of the initial ones from around the world. It's certainly something to look forward to whilst I drive my A250 4-matic loan car!

Apologies I got the evo and car magazine reviews crossed.
