So what did YOU do to improve your Mercedes this weekend?

Charles, never heard of Berry Bros, I shall have to go and have a look. I am in need of some decent wine.

Fitted a new front bumper after respraying it yesterday. Used as a dodgems car by last owner.

Took the hardtop off today so summer is officially here! Though to be fair there has been a few weeks now of perfectly fine top down motoring, I was just being lazy, but so glad I did.

They are the oldest wine merchant in the country, possibly even Europe, having been trading in the same family ownership since 1698. Their shop in St James in London is largely unchanged since the 18th century. However, they run their distribution from a warehouse in Basingstoke, and it has all their bin ends at a minimum 25% discount, which means the wines (a superb selection) aren't so much cheap, as decently priced. Very helpful staff too.

Took mine off a few weeks ago!:)

I stretched my car's legs today having a hoot with a Carerra on the way to the GTG.

Made me realise what a sleeper the old fart limo actually is :)

Filled mine with deisel, therefore increasing its value by about 3% :D

Gave mine a swift going-over with a quick-detailing spray to get rid of the layer of dust that every rainfall seems to leave behind. The sealant thingy I had applied last year seems to be holding up well, as the car hasn't been washed, waxed or polished since (just jet-sprayed a couple of times). These iPod photos really don't do it justice, so next weekend's task will be to get some decent snaps of it, if the weather holds out...

Technically it's a G Wagen or an AMG G Wagen or an AMG Wagen. The first two would tell you what actual model it is, in varying levels of detail, the last would merely tell you it was an AMG. Consequently, your usage is the least technically accurate.

Have you been on the vino, Mr M?

Don't you hate it when drivers cannot park in the boxes provided ........

Fixed non closing tailgate, cleaned up inner surrounds of said tailgate and hoovered throughout.

Entirely sober. Wagen is car, thus AMG Wagen is AMG car. Which could be C, E, S, CLS, SL, SLS, CLS, G etc, so in taxonomical terms, about as useful as saying Primate, when you mean Gorilla, and most certainly not a usage that Mercedes would countenance.

So your usage was actually less helpful than mine.

Sheesh, I know all that. It was just a sort of M&S-inspired semi-pun, as in: "That's not just a G Wagen, it's an AMG Wagen!". Perhaps I should have used italics...

EDIT: Come to think of it, it's not even a G Wagen anymore, it's a G Class, or G55 AMG. :p
